About FactoryChecks
Built by an engineer who has stood on these factory floors.
Our Mission
Eliminate wasted sourcing effort
Most sourcing delays happen before a factory ever responds. Procurement teams waste weeks contacting factories that are the wrong fit. We built FactoryChecks to solve that — by analyzing product requirements, assessing manufacturing capabilities on-site, and structuring the RFQ process so the right matches happen first.
We built FactoryChecks because we couldn't find the tool we needed when sourcing manufacturing partners. Trade directories listed thousands of companies with unverified, self-reported data. We decided to fix that — not by creating a better directory, but by building a decision intelligence platform that starts with your product requirements and works backward to the right factories.
Our principles
- 01
Fit > Volume
A factory that can build your product is worth more than 10,000 factories that can't.
- 02
Evidence > Claims
Nothing is marked assessed unless we've checked it ourselves on-site.
- 03
Workflow > Contact Details
Giving you a phone number solves the wrong problem. Structuring the RFQ process solves the right one.
- 04
Efficiency > Breadth
Procurement teams should spend time evaluating good options — not filtering out bad ones.
Assessment Methodology
Eight dimensions. One manufacturing fit score.
Every factory assessment follows the same structured process. Our engineers conduct on-site visits and evaluate eight specific dimensions that determine whether a factory can realistically build your product.
The 8 assessment dimensions
Legal Registration
Business registration verified against government records — confirms the factory is a real, operating legal entity
Physical Facility
Factory location, size, and layout physically confirmed on-site — not a forwarding address or shared space
Employee Count
Headcount verified through HR records and direct observation — determines realistic production capacity
Equipment
Key production equipment identified, counted, and recorded — confirms the factory can actually run required processes
Capabilities
Core manufacturing processes observed in operation — the single most important fit signal for product matching
Certifications
Original certificates sighted, expiry dates verified — not self-reported claims
Export History
Export shipping records reviewed for international customers — confirms experience with international compliance requirements
Quality System
QMS documentation and quality processes reviewed — determines whether defect rates will be manageable
Assessment levels
All 8 dimensions assessed on-site
5+ dimensions assessed on-site
At least 1 dimension assessed by document review
Factory-provided data, not independently assessed
